Cutleaf Sumac
Size: 15'-20'H x 15'W.
Hardiness: zone 3 to 7.
Habit: very loose, open shrub or small tree with a flat-topped crown.
Flowers/fruit: Dense, hairy panicles 4" to 8" long, green-yellow, appear in late June, plants are Dioecious. 'Laciniata' is a female and should be planted among males of this species. Bright red, pubescent fruit clusters contrast nicely with the finely cut green foliage in late summer.
Description: A large multi stemmed shrub or small tree valued for its fruit and striking red fall color. Tolerates poor soil, high pH, pollution and drought. Needs adequate space to spread, ideal for hillside or bank planting.
