Like other junipers, the species is not suitable for landscape use because of its large spreading habit and the poor appearance of the foliage. Hardy from zone 4 to 7, Savin junipers withstand urban conditions and will thrive in open, hot, sunny sites with high soil pH.

A low growing, soft textured juniper with light green foliage and uniform habit. Attains a size of 2 1/2' x 6'. Resistant to Phomopsis blight.
