Hydrangea quercifolia
Oakleaf Hydrangea
Size: 7'H x 4'W.
Hardiness: zone 5 to 9.
Habit: Upright, mounded, spreads by weak stems drooping to the ground and rooting.
Flowers/fruit: Large panicles 6" to 12" long, white turning pink, emerging in late June.
Description: Large, course-textured shrub, tolerant of shade. Stems are weak and therefore, planting in high traffic areas should be avoided; attractIIe orange-red to brown fall color.
