- SIZE: 40'H x 30'W.
HARDINESS: zone 4 to 6. HABIT:
Loosely pyramidal to oval. FOLIAGE: 2-4" nearly rounded green leaves,
little or no fall color. DESCRIPTION: 2"-3" male flowers (catkins) appear
in fall and flower in spring, female catkins develop into small cone-like
structures called strobilis - 1" - 1½". Tolerant of poor soils and will
thrive in wet locations; also tolerant of dry urban conditions.
